अशोकस्तारणस्तारः शूरः शौरिर्जनेश्वरः। अनुकूलः शतावर्तः पद्मी पद्मनिभेक्षणः

aśokastāraṇastāraḥ śaurirjaneśvaraḥ | padmī

[nāma.37] He is aśoka (without sorrow), tāraṇa (the ferryer-across; who uplifts), tāra (the saviour; who takes across), śūra (the valiant), śauri (of the Śūra line; Kṛṣṇa), janeśvara (lord of beings), anukūla (the favorable), śatāvarta (of a hundred turnings; of many births), padmin (lotus-holder; lotus in hand), padmanibhekṣaṇa (lotus-eyed).

[nāma.40] He is vikṣara (the undecaying), rohita (the red; the fish-form), mārga (the path), hetu (the cause), dāmodara (cord-bellied; of a restrained mind), saha (the enduring; who has all under him), mahīdhara (earth-bearer), mahābhāga (of the great share; of great fortune), vegavat (the swift), amitāśana (of unmeasured eating; who consumes the worlds).

[nāma.46] He is vistāra (the spreading-out; in whom worlds appear), sthāvarasthāṇu (the standing and the unmoving), pramāṇa (the measure; the means of knowing), bījam avyayam (the undecaying seed), artha (the sought; the aim), anartha (without an aim to seek), mahākośa (of the great sheaths), mahābhoga (of great enjoyment), mahādhana (of great wealth).
