श्रीभगवानुवाच। इमं विवस्वते योगं प्रोक्तवानहमव्ययम्। विवस्वान्मनवे प्राह मनुरिक्ष्वाकवेऽब्रवीत्।

[4.1] The Lord said: I spoke this unfailing yoga to Vivasvat. Vivasvat told it to Manu; Manu spoke it to Ikṣvāku.

[4.3] That same ancient yoga I have spoken to you today. You are my devotee and my friend; this is the highest secret.

[4.8] For the protection of the good, and for the destruction of those who do evil, and for the establishing of dharma, I come to be age after age.
